The first round of the NBA Playoffs continued to attract good numbers on TNT.
Game 2 of the Blazers/Rockets first round NBA playoff series earned 4.1 million viewers on TNT Wednesday night, down 6% from Lakers/Spurs last year (4.3M), but up 30% from Clippers/Grizzlies in 2012 (3.1M).
The game ranks as the third-most viewed of the playoffs on cable, trailing only Game 1 on Sunday (4.1M) and Grizzlies/Thunder Game 2 on Monday (4.2M).
Earlier Wednesday, Bobcats/Heat Game 2 earned 2.9 million viewers — down 4% from Rockets/Thunder last year (3.1M), but up 61% from Jazz/Spurs in 2012 (1.8M). Excluding NBA TV games, Bobcats/Heat earned the third-smallest audience of the playoffs-to-date, ahead of only Hawks/Pacers Game 2 (2.7M) and Nets/Raptors Game 1 (2.3M).
