FOX Ties Second-Worst MMA Rating
- Last Saturday’s edition of the UFC on FOX earned a 1.5 final rating and 2.5 million viewers, tying the second-lowest rating ever for mixed martial arts on broadcast TV (17 telecasts dating back to 2008). The last five UFC telecasts on FOX have failed to earn at least a 2.0 rating.
PGA Canadian Open Flat
- Final round coverage of the PGA Tour Canadian Open drew a 1.6 final rating and 2.3 million viewers on CBS last Sunday, flat in ratings and viewership compared to last year (1.6, 2.3M). Third round action on Saturday drew a 0.9 and 1.4 million, down a tick and 3%, respectively, from last year (1.0, 1.4M).
Another Solid Week For Sunday Night Baseball
- Last week’s Dodgers/Giants Sunday Night Baseball game drew a 1.5 U.S. rating and 2.3 million viewers on ESPN, flat in ratings and down 1% in viewership from Cardinals/Braves last year (1.5, 2.4M) and the fifth Sunday night game in six weeks to top the two million mark. For the season, the game ranks as the fourth-most watched MLB telecast on cable.
