Ratings and viewership dipped for the latest edition of Monday Night Football.
The Week 3 Bears/Jets Monday Night Football game drew an 8.4 U.S. rating and 13.3 million viewers on ESPN, down 6% in ratings and 5% in viewership Raiders/Broncos last year (8.9, 13.9M) and down 18% in both measures from Packers/Seahawks in 2012 (10.3, 16.2M).
Bears/Jets ranks as the lowest rated and least-viewed Week 3 MNF game since Jets/Chargers in 2008 (7.6, 11.9M). ESPN has had declines for two of its four MNF games this season, both of which involved a New York team (the Giants in Week 1 and the Jets in Week 3).
Among adults 18-49, the game had a 5.2 rating — down 7% from last year (5.6) and down 19% from 2012 (6.4).
ESPN has averaged an 8.3 U.S. rating and 13.4 million viewers for MNF through Week 3, down 7% in ratings and 5% in viewership from last year (8.9, 14.1M) and down 4% and flat, respectively, from 2012 (8.6, 13.4M).
