A blowout left NBC with mediocre numbers for Sunday Night Football.
The Week 6 Eagles/Giants Sunday Night Football game drew an 11.6 overnight rating on NBC, down 14% from Washington/Cowboys last year (13.6), down 8% from Packers/Texans in 2012 (12.6), and the network’s lowest overnight of the season. The previous low was a 12.2 for Steelers/Panthers in Week 3.
The Eagles won Sunday’s game 27-0, edging Bengals/Patriots the previous week for the season’s largest SNF blowout.
Among Sunday’s games, SNF ranked a very distant second behind the NFL national window on FOX (19.1). It only barely topped the first game of the FOX doubleheader (11.2).
Philadelphia (33.1) was the top market, followed by New Orleans (17.1), Las Vegas (16.8), Baltimore (15.4) and Norfolk (14.8). New York ranked seventh (14.6).
