The Week 12 NFL national window, featuring Dolphins/Broncos in 83% of markets, drew a 17.4 overnight rating on CBS — down 8% from Cowboys/Giants on FOX last year (18.9) and up 5% from coverage on FOX featuring 49ers/Saints in 2012 (16.5). The 17.4 is the second-highest of the season on CBS, trailing only coverage in Week 9 featuring Broncos/Patriots (18.6).
Overall, the 17.4 is tied as the fourth-highest overnight of the season for any NFL telecast. The five highest rated NFL telecasts in the metered markets have involved the Cowboys or Broncos.
The early doubleheader window drew a 10.3 overnight, up 5% from coverage on FOX featuring Panthers/Dolphins last year (9.8) and up 18% from coverage on FOX featuring Vikings/Bears in 2012 (8.7).
