The Cowboys/Giants rivalry hit a four-year low, but still generated solid numbers for NBC.
The Week 12 Cowboys/Giants Sunday Night Football game drew a 13.1 final rating and 22.4 million viewers on NBC, down 16% in ratings and 15% in viewership from Broncos/Patriots last year (15.6, 26.5M) and up 4% and 7%, respectively, from Packers/Giants in 2012 (7.0, 10.8M).
The Cowboys’ close win ranks as the highest rated and most-watched SNF telecast since 49ers/Broncos in Week 7 (13.8, 23.8M). For the season, it earned the fifth-highest rating and viewership on NBC.
With that said, it was also the lowest rated and least-viewed Cowboys/Giants match-up on any network since Week 7 of the 2010 season — the last time the teams played each other on cable (11.2, 18.0M). Excluding games on cable, it was the lowest in both measures since Week 1 of the 2007 season (11.6, 18.2M).
Among adults 18-49, Sunday’s game had an 8.1 rating — down 17% from last year (9.8) but up 7% from 2012 (7.6).
