SEC, Pac-12, Tie For Top Spot on ESPN
- ESPN drew a 1.9 overnight rating for the Georgia/Kentucky and Oregon/Utah college football games on Saturday, tying the network’s top overnight of the weekend. In primetime, Virginia/Florida State drew a 1.5 — albeit opposite Ohio State/Michigan State on ABC (4.2) and Alabama/LSU on CBS (5.3).
NBC Hits Low For Tape Delayed F1 Coverage
- Tape delayed coverage of the Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix drew a mere 0.5 overnight rating on NBC Sunday afternoon, down 44% from last year, when it aired live and was the final race of the season (0.9). The 0.5 is the lowest for an F1 race on NBC (eight telecasts), falling below the previous mark of 0.7 set a week earlier.
Big Bump For EPL on NBC
- NBC earned a 0.7 overnight rating for the Queens Park/Manchester City English Premier League match Saturday afternoon, up 40% from Norwich City/West Ham United last year (0.5). The match was up by the same margin over Swansea City/Leicester City the previous Saturday.
