For the first time this season, viewership declined — albeit slightly — for Thursday Night Football.
The Week 12 Chiefs/Raiders Thursday Night Football game drew 7.7 million viewers on NFL Network, down a fraction of a percent from Saints/Falcons last year (7.68M to 7.65M). The comparable Thursday night game in 2012 aired on NBC. The viewership does not include local simulcasts in the home markets.
The Raiders’ win was the first TNF telecast of the season to have a decline in viewership compared to last year. Keep in mind the first seven games received an artificial boost from airing on CBS.
Chiefs/Raiders had a 2.7 rating among adults 18-49, down 7% from last year’s 2.9.
