ESPN’s Jarrett Joins NBC Sports
- ESPN NASCAR analyst Dale Jarrett has left the network to join NBC Sports, it was announced Monday. Jarrett will serve as a studio analyst for select NASCAR Sprint Cup and XFinity (née Nationwide) Series races on the NBC family of networks, including the debut telecasts from Daytona on July 4 weekend. Jarrett will also call some XFinity Series races from the booth and contribute to NBCSN’s daily talk show NASCAR America. (NBC Sports Group Press Box)
FOX Taps Active NASCAR Drivers For XFinity Series Coverage
- Fox Sports will use a rotation of active NASCAR drivers, including Jeff Gordon, Brad Keselowski and Kevin Harvick, as guest analysts on XFinity Series races this season. The drivers will work alongside play-by-play voice Adam Alexander and analyst Michael Waltrip. This season marks the first time since 2006 that Fox Sports has had rights to XFinity Series races. Golf Analyst Oosterhuis Retires
- CBS Sports and Golf Channel analyst Peter Oosterhuis announced his retirement from broadcasting over the weekend. Ootserhuis had been with Golf Channel since 1995 and CBS since 1998, having previously competed on the PGA Tour from 1975-86. (CBS)
