Stephen A. Smith Reportedly Re-Ups With ESPN
- ESPN pundit Stephen A. Smith has agreed to a contract extension with the network, The Big Lead reported Wednesday. Smith, who rejoined ESPN in 2011 after a previous stint from 2003-08, will remain with the network “for the foreseeable future” (TBL, 1/21). Brent Barry to Replace Greg Anthony on TNT This Week
- Turner Sports NBA analyst Brent Barry will replace the suspended Greg Anthony as the game analyst for Thursday’s Nets/Clippers game on TNT. Barry will also call Bulls/Lakers the following week, though it is not clear whether that assignment was previously scheduled. (Turner Sports)
Golf Channel Hires Robinson; Duval Set to Debut
- Golf Channel has hired Sky Sports host Cara Robinson as a co-host for its Morning Drive morning show. Robinson, who will continue contributing to the Sky Sports show Golfing World, is expected to debut next month. Earlier in the month, Golf Channel also hired David Duval as a studio analyst earlier this month, with his debut set for this week’s Humana Challenge.
