Stephen A. Smith Reportedly Re-Ups With ESPN
- ESPN pundit Stephen A. Smith has agreed to a contract extension with the network, The Big Lead reported Wednesday. Smith, who rejoined ESPN in 2011 after a previous stint from 2003-08, will remain with the network “for the foreseeable future” (TBL, 1/21). Brent Barry to Replace Greg Anthony on TNT This Week
- Turner Sports NBA analyst Brent Barry will replace the suspended Greg Anthony as the game analyst for Thursday’s Nets/Clippers game on TNT. Barry will also call Bulls/Lakers the following week, though it is not clear whether that assignment was previously scheduled. (Turner Sports)
Golf Channel Hires Robinson; Duval Set to Debut
- Golf Channel has hired Sky Sports host Cara Robinson as a co-host for its Morning Drive morning show. Robinson, who will continue contributing to the Sky Sports show Golfing World, is expected to debut next month.
