Mixed Numbers For Miami Open Tennis
- Last Saturday’s Serena Williams/Carla Suárez Navarro Miami Open women’s final earned a 0.3 final rating and 377,000 viewers on ESPN2, down 40% in ratings and viewership from Williams/Li Na last year (0.5, 631K). The Novak Djokovic/Andy Murray men’s final drew a 0.4 and 625,000 on ESPN Sunday afternoon, flat and up 12%, respectively, from Djokovic/Rafael Nadal in a later timeslot last year (0.4, 558K). Big Decline For First LPGA Major of Season
- Final round coverage of the LPGA Tour ANA Inspiration golf tournament, the first major of the season, drew 364,000 viewers on Golf Channel last Sunday — down 46% from last year (670K), but up 13% from 2013 (276K), according to Sports Business Daily. - Taped coverage of the Professional Bowlers Association PBA League quarterfinals drew a 0.3 final rating and 406,000 viewers on ESPN, the least-watched telecast of the season (14 telecasts).
