Solid Outing For NBA on TNT
- Thursday’s Blazers/Warriors NBA regular season game drew 1.9 million viewers on TNT, up 43% from Nuggets/Warriors last year (1.3M) and up 13% from Thunder/Warriors in 2013 (1.7M). Bulls/Heat drew 1.7 million earlier in the night, up 5% from Spurs/Mavericks last year (1.6M) but down 21% from Knicks/Bulls in 2013 (2.1M). Of the 103 non-Cavaliers games this season that can be compared to last year, just 28 have had increases. (via TV By the Numbers)
Double-Digit Rise For EPL on NBC
- The Chelsea/Stoke City English Premier League match drew a 0.6 final rating and 851,000 viewers on NBC last Saturday, up a tick in ratings and up 23% in viewership from the same matchup last year (0.5, 694K). Chelsea has now played in four of the seven most-watched matches on NBC this season, more than any other team. (via Sports Business Daily)
Fewer Viewers For CBB All-Star Game
- CBS drew a 0.6 final rating and 758,000 viewers for the college basketball All-Star game last Saturday, flat in ratings and down 6% in viewership from last year (0.6, 809K). Compared to the 2013 game, which aired on a Sunday, ratings increased 50% from a 0.4. (via Sports Business Daily)
