Fox Sports announced the full Women’s World Cup television schedule on Wednesday, with five primetime matches set for the FOX broadcast network.
FOX will air primetime coverage of a Women’s World Cup quarterfinal on June 26 (7:30 PM ET), a semifinal on June 30 (7 PM) and the final on July 5 (7 PM), according to the schedule Fox Sports released on Wednesday. That is in addition to previously announced primetime coverage of United States/Sweden on June 12 (8 PM) and USA/Nigeria on June 16 (8 PM).
Overall, FOX will air 16 matches during the Women’s World Cup — more than double the seven ABC aired from 1995 to 2011. It is the largest slate of World Cup matches ever on a U.S. broadcast network.
Fox Sports 1 is scheduled to air 29 matches, including USA/Australia on June 8 and a semifinal on July 1. Fox Sports 2 has seven matches on its schedule.
