FOX earned one of the lowest overnights ever for primetime baseball coverage on broadcast TV.
Regional Major League Baseball action on FOX earned a 1.3 overnight rating Saturday night, down a tick from the network’s second primetime window last year (1.4) and down 44% from the second such telecast in 2013 (2.5).
The 1.3 overnight is the second-lowest ever for primetime MLB on broadcast television, ahead of only last year’s opening telecast (1.2).
Keep in mind Saturday’s telecast aired directly opposite Game 7 of the NHL Western Conference final on NBC. That game earned a 3.3 overnight, the highest of the weekend for any sporting event.
