For the third straight race, NBCSN earned its top IndyCar audience in four years.
IndyCar Series racing from Iowa drew a 0.3 final rating and 541,000 viewers on NBCSN Saturday night, flat in ratings and up 29% in viewership from last year (0.3, 444K), but down 57% and 42%, respectively, from the 2013 race on broadcast network ABC (0.7, 928K).
The race ranks as the most-watched IndyCar telecast on NBCSN since Baltimore in September 2011 (591K). It was the third straight race to hit a four-year high, topping the previous marks set by Milwaukee a week earlier (532K) and Fontana in late June (512K).
Overall, it earned the third-largest IndyCar audience on NBCSN since the network began airing coverage in 2009 — trailing only Baltimore in 2011 and Edmonton that same year (642K). The past three races rank among the eight most-watched ever on the network.
