ABC Sees Drop For Air Force/MSU
- Last Saturday’s Air Force/Michigan State college football game drew a 1.7 final rating and 2.5 million viewers on ABC, down 11% in ratings and 15% in viewership from regional action last year (1.9, 3.0M) and down 37% and 40%, respectively, UCLA/Nebraska in 2013 (2.7, 4.2M). FOX Sees Big Gain For MLB
- Regional Major League Baseball action on FOX drew nearly 2.0 million viewers last Saturday afternoon, up 57% from last year (1.3M) and up 5% from 2013 (1.9M). The telecast, which featured Yankees/Mets in most markets, scored the largest afternoon MLB audience on FOX since September 2013 (2.1M). Six of the nine MLB telecasts on FOX this season have had a year-over-year increase, with the last three up by more than a quarter. (via Sports Business Daily)
Yankees/Jays Sets Wednesday Night Mark on ESPN
- The Yankees/Blue Jays Wednesday Night Baseball game drew 1.1 million viewers on ESPN, up 79% from Nationals/Braves last year (588K), up 85% from Rangers/Rays in 2013 (570K), and easily the most-watched Wednesday night game of the season. The Diamondbacks/Dodgers nightcap had 577,000, up 32% from Mariners/Angels last year (437K) and up 17% from Dodgers/Diamondbacks in 2013 (493K). (via ShowBuzz Daily)
