Overnight ratings were flat for Formula 1’s U.S. Grand Prix. In other news, NBC tied a season-high for the Premier League, and the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating opened on par with last year.
F1 USGP Flat on NBC
- Formula 1 racing from the United States drew a 0.7 overnight rating on NBC Sunday afternoon, even with last year and down 22% from 2013 (0.9). The 0.7 trails NBC’s previous F1 telecasts this season, from Monaco (1.1) and Canada (1.0). The telecast was trounced head-to-head by NASCAR from Talladega on NBCSN (2.5).
Premier League Ties Season-High on NBC
- Saturday’s Arsenal/Everton English Premier League match drew a 0.9 overnight rating on NBC, up a tick from Arsenal/Liverpool in 2013 (0.8) and tied with Chelsea/Swansea City on opening day as the highest rated match of the season in the metered markets. There was no comparable window last year. The following day, Liverpool/Southampton drew a 0.7; there were no comparable windows last year or in 2013.
ISU GP of Figure Skating Opens Flat
- Coverage of Skate America, the first event in the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, drew a 0.8 overnight rating on NBC Saturday evening — even with both last year and 2013. Last year’s telecast aired on a Sunday and lasted an additional hour.
