A pair of sub-.500 teams delivered subpar numbers on Thursday Night Football.
The Week 11 Titans/Jaguars Thursday Night Football game had a 4.2 final rating and 6.6 million viewers on NFL Network, down 14% in ratings and 15% in viewership from Bills/Dolphins last year (4.8, 7.8M) but up 4% and 3%, respectively, from Colts/Titans in 2013 (4.0, 6.4M).
The Jaguars’ win ranks as the least-watched NFL telecast of the season on any network, falling below the previous mark set by Bills/Jets the previous week (7.6M). That does not include Bills/Jaguars on Yahoo! in Week 7, which averaged 1.6 million viewers per minute.
Including games simulcast by CBS, five of the past seven Thursday Night Football games have had a decline in ratings and viewership.
Among adults 18-49, TNF drew a 2.2 rating — down 21% from last year (2.8) and down 8% from 2013 (2.4).
