Sunday Night Football put in one of its weaker performances of the season for the Steelers’ rout of the Colts.
The Week 13 Colts/Steelers Sunday Night Football game drew an 11.1 final rating and 19.2 million viewers on NBC, down 11% in ratings and 9% in viewership from Broncos/Chiefs last year (12.5, 21.1M) but up 3% and 8%, respectively, from Giants/Washington in 2013 (10.8, 17.7M).
Ratings and viewership were the second-lowest for the NFL on NBC this season (15 telecasts), ahead of only a 10.7 and 18.0 million for Bengals/Cardinals in Week 11. Just four times in 15 telecasts this season has NBC failed to earn at least a 12.0 rating and 20 million viewers.
The Steelers’ 35-point win was also just the third of 15 telecasts on NBC to have a year-over-year decline in either measure, joining Eagles/Panthers in Week 7 and the previously mentioned Bengals/Cardinals game.
Among adults 18-49, SNF had a 6.7 rating — down 10% from last year (7.4) but up 8% from 2013 (6.2). The 6.7 is the second-lowest of the season on NBC, again ahead of only Bengals/Cardinals (6.3).
