After hitting high marks last year, overnight ratings sank for the UEFA Champions League Final.
The Real Madrid/Atletico Madrid UEFA Champions League Final had a 1.2 overnight rating on FOX Saturday afternoon, down 29% from Barcelona/Juventus last year (1.7*) and down a tick from the same Real Madrid/Atletico Madrid matchup in 2014 (1.3*). Keep in mind figures do not include the Spanish-language simulcast on Fox Deportes.
This year’s 1.2 overnight is the lowest for the Champions League final since Bayern Munich/Dortmund three years ago (1.0). Last year’s final, by contrast, was the highest rated in the metered markets since 2011.
Despite the lower numbers, the 1.2 topped every Premier League match during the recently completed season, and easily topped the previous week’s Manchester United/Crystal Palace FA Cup Final (0.8).
