Univision set a viewership record for the Copa America quarterfinals.
Coverage of the Copa America quarterfinals averaged 3.9 million viewers across Univision and Univision Deportes Network, the highest average ever for that round of the tournament on any network.
In particular, Mexico’s blowout loss to Chile Saturday night scored 5.6 million viewers — not just the largest audience of the quarterfinals, but of the entire tournament. Mexico’s four matches on Univision were the most-watched on any network.
In other action, Argentina/Venezuela scored 3.3 million earlier Saturday night, and Colombia/Peru had 3.5 million on Friday.
On Thursday, United States/Ecuador also drew 3.5 million. Added to the previously announced audience of 2.1 million on Fox Sports 1, USA/Ecuador combined for 5.6 million viewers — despite facing the NBA Finals.
