NBC’s Emrick to Work Baseball Game for MLB Network
- NBC Sports NHL play-by-play voice Mike Emrick will call the July 8 Cubs/Pirates Major League Baseball game for MLB Network, The New York Times reported Saturday. Emrick, a noted Pirates fan who worked two of their spring training games in March, will work alongside Bob Costas. This is not the first time MLB Network has brought in a guest commentator, with Al Michaels calling a game in 2011 and Tim McCarver serving as an analyst last year, both alongside Costas. (NYT)
Voice of Sonics Returns to Pacific Northwest
