ESPN and ACC Reach Deal With New Network as Centerpiece
- ESPN and the ACC have agreed to a media rights extension through the 2035-36 season, ESPN.com reported Monday, with the centerpiece of the deal being the launch of a new ACC Network by 2019. The parties are currently in business together through 2026-27. An official announcement on the new deal and the new network is not expected until Thursday at the earliest. NFL Network Launching New Morning Show
- NFL Network will launch a new morning show next month to replace the now canceled NFL AM, Sports Business Journal reported Monday. Titled Good Morning Football, the three-hour show will mix football news and entertainment, with a cast that includes Fox Sports’ Peter Schrager and former NFL WR Nate Burleson. NBA TV to Air USA Basketball Exhibitions
- NBA TV will televise nine USA basketball exhibition games leading up to the Olympics, including all five involving the men’s basketball team. ESPN aired most of the games in 2012. Coverage begins with the USA/Argentina men’s game on Friday night and continues through the USA/Nigeria men’s matchup on August 1. (Turner Sports)
