Biden to Honor Sager at ESPYs
- Vice President of the United States Joe Biden will present Turner Sports sideline reporter Craig Sager with the Jimmy V Perseverance Award at the ESPY Awards Wednesday night, Sports Illustrated reported Sunday. Sager has been suffering from leukemia for the past two years and Biden, whose son Beau died of cancer last year, has focused on fighting the disease in recent months. (SI.com)
NBC’s Brokaw Returning to Olympics
- NBC Sports Group announced last week that NBC News special correspondent Tom Brokaw will present features during its coverage of the Olympic Games. ESPN Extends Two, Promotes One, on College Football Depth Chart
- ESPN has reached contract extensions with college football play-by-play voices Dave Pasch and Bob Wischusen and promoted SEC Network studio analyst Greg McElroy to a weekly game assignment on ESPN/ABC, the network announced on Thursday.
