An NLCS rematch did not give FOX a boost in its MLB overnights.
Regional Major League Baseball action featuring Cubs/Mets in 55% of markets earned a 1.7 overnight rating on FOX Saturday night, according to ShowBuzz Daily, and a 1.6 according to Sports Business Daily. Last year’s comparable window had a 1.75.
The 1.7 overnight tied the third-lowest mark on FOX this season (seven telecasts). In addition, it marked just the second time this season that FOX did not post a year-over-year increase in the metered markets.
Head-to-head, coverage was nearly doubled by the NASCAR Firecracker 400 on NBC (3.3).
