FOX ended its primetime Major League Baseball schedule with a double-digit decline in overnights. In other news, CBS put up low numbers for Greenbrier Classic replacement programming, and the European Tour Scottish Open dipped on NBC.
FOX Ends Primetime Run With Double-Digit Drop
- Regional Major League Baseball action featuring Cubs/Pirates in 50% of markets earned a 1.7 overnight rating on FOX Saturday night, down 23% from last year (2.2) but up a tick from 2014 (1.6). The double-digit decline is easily the largest of the season on FOX.
Greenbrier Replays Unsurprisingly Low on CBS
- With this year’s PGA Tour Greenbrier Classic canceled due to weather, CBS earned a 0.6 overnight rating for two days of taped replays from previous years of the event. As should be no surprise, the telecasts rank as the lowest rated PGA Tour windows of the season on broadcast.
Euro Tour Scottish Open Down on NBC
- Final round coverage of the European Tour Scottish Open earned a 0.9 overnight rating on NBC Sunday afternoon, down a tick form last year (1.0) and even with 2014. Third round action the previous day drew a 0.6, also down a tick from last year (0.7) and even with 2014.
