NASCAR Kentucky Overnights Down on NBCSN
- NASCAR Sprint Cup racing from Kentucky earned a 1.8 overnight rating on NBCSN Saturday night, according to Sports Business Daily, down 10% from last year and 2014 (2.0). Excluding rainouts, the 1.8 is tied as the lowest of the season for a Sprint Cup race — matching Kansas on Fox Sports 1 in May.
Xfinity Series Also Down
- The NASCAR Xfinity Series race from Kentucky had 995,000 viewers on NBCSN Friday night, down 9% from last year (1.1M), down 21% from 2014 on ESPN (1.3M) and easily a season-low. No other race this season dipped below 1.2 million viewers.
NBC Scores Uptick For Tour de France
- NBC scored a 0.9 overnight rating for Stage 8 of the Tour de France Sunday morning, up a tick from last year (0.8) and even with 2014. The following day, taped, condensed coverage of Stage 9 drew a 0.5 overnight.
