The third of four straight Tennessee games on CBS posted an increase in the overnights.
Tennessee/Texas A&M earned a 4.0 overnight on the latest edition of the SEC on CBS, up 29% from Georgia/Tennessee last year (3.1), up a tick from Alabama/Mississippi in 2014 (3.9), and the top college football overnight of the weekend. The SEC has now topped the charts in two of the past three weeks.
The Aggies’ double-overtime win, which peaked at a 6.0 from 8-8:30 PM ET, also earned the second-highest SEC overnight on CBS this season (six telecasts). Alabama/Mississippi holds the top spot with a 5.4.
Head-to-head, Saturday’s game topped competing coverage of Ohio State/Indiana on ESPN (2.3) and regional action on ABC (2.0).
