Overnight ratings were a mixed bag for the NFL’s Wild Card round on CBS.
The Dolphins/Steelers AFC Wild Card Game had a 19.2 overnight rating on CBS Sunday afternoon, down 15% from Seahawks/Vikings on NBC last year (22.5) but up 4% from Bengals/Colts on CBS in 2014 (18.5). Compared to last year’s Wild Card game on CBS, Steelers/Bengals on a Saturday night, overnights held steady.
The Steelers’ win, which peaked at a 20.8 from 3-3:30 PM ET, tied the highest AFC Wild Card overnight since Chargers/Bengals in 2014 (20.3). Over that span, four NFC Wild Card games have had a higher overnight.
For the weekend, Dolphins/Steelers ranked second out of the four Wild Card matchups behind only Giants/Packers later Sunday afternoon (24.0).
