Another Bump For U.S. in WBC
- The United States’ third game of the World Baseball Classic, a win over Canada, had 815,000 viewers on MLB Network Sunday — up 7% from the third U.S. match in 2013, also against Canada (760K). Figures for the their third match in 2009 were not available. Two of the three U.S. group play matches increased over 2013. (via ShowBuzz Daily 3.16)
NBA Mixed on ESPN Wednesday
- Blazers-Spurs had 1.3 million viewers on the latest edition of ESPN’s NBA Wednesday, up 27% from Thunder-Celtics last year (989K) and up 48% from Magic-Mavericks in 2015 (847K). The Bucks-Clippers nightcap had 1.2 million, down 1% from Clippers-Rockets last year (1.22M to 1.20M) and down 24% from Hawks-Warriors in ’15 (1.6M). (via ShowBuzz Daily 3.17)
Feherty Sets Mark
- Golf Channel’s Feherty, featuring the second part of an interview of Phil Mickelson, posted 442,000 viewers on Monday — a record for the program and the largest second-largest audience for an original series on the network. Part one had 437,000 the previous week. (Golf Channel)
