Manchester United Boosts UEFA Europa Final
- Wednesday’s Manchester United-Ajax UEFA Europa League final earned 383,000 viewers on Fox Sports 1, up 37% from Liverpool-Sevilla last year (279K) and up 225% from Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk-Sevilla in 2015 (118K). According to Sports Business Daily, it was the most-watched UEL match ever on the Fox Sports networks.
Royals Ratings Down in K.C.
- Kansas City Royals Major League Baseball games averaged a 7.9 rating on Fox Sports Kansas City through 46 games, down 31% from last year’s full-season average (10.9) and down 39% from the record-setting full-season mark of 12.3 in 2015. Despite the declines, this season is on pace to rank as the highest rated ever on FSKC.
TNT’s Dunk King Down From Last Year
- The season finale of TNT’s The Dunk King earned 1.7 million viewers following Game 4 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals Tuesday night, down 18% from last year’s finale (2.1M). The penultimate episode had 1.5 million last Sunday (-13%). The full second season averaged 1.5 million viewers, down 16% from last year’s 1.8 million. The Dunk King held up well compared to its conference final lead-in; the corresponding four games of Cavaliers-Celtics declined 22% from last year’s Warriors-Thunder series on TNT.
