Meyer Reportedly Close to Fox Sports Deal
Fox Sports is near a deal with retired Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer, Sporting News reported Thursday. Meyer is being given the option of working on games or in the studio, per the report.
The last time Meyer retired from coaching in 2011, he joined ESPN. He spent one season with the network, working both in studio and on games, before taking the Ohio State job. During his Ohio State tenure, he occasionally served as a guest studio analyst for ESPN’s BCS and College Football Playoff coverage. [Sporting News 1.17]
Reds’ Brennaman Retiring
Cincinnati Reds play-by-play voice Marty Brennaman announced this week that he will retire at the end of the 2019 season. Brennaman, recipient of the Baseball Hall of Fame Ford C. Norman to Guest on Fox Sunday
NFL CB Josh Norman will serve as a guest analyst on Fox NFL Kickoff this Sunday, marking his first appearance on Fox Sports this season. WNBA’s Wilson Adds ESPN Gig
