ABC to air “Last Dance” special hosted by Stephen A.
ABC will air a one-hour SportsCenter special devoted to the ESPN documentary series “The Last Dance” Tuesday night, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The special, titled “After the Dance,” will be hosted by Stephen A. Smith, who will also serve as executive producer. He will be joined by Magic Johnson and a number of guests.
The final two episodes of “The Last Dance” will air Sunday on ESPN. As previously noted here, the series will re-air on ABC Saturdays from May 23-June 20. [Hollywood Reporter 5.14]
MLB Draft set for June 10-11 on MLB Network
The Major League Baseball Draft has been scheduled for June 10-11 and will take place remotely, a la the NFL and WNBA drafts last month, according to multiple reports. Per Baseball America, both days of the event will air on MLB Network, with day one coverage starting at 7 PM ET and day two at 5 PM. [Baseball America 5.14]
WNBA unlikely to share NBA bubble
WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert told the Associated Press Friday that while the league is likely to join the NBA in staging games at a central location this summer, it is unlikely that the two leagues will share the same site. Engelbert had previously floated the possibility of NBA-WNBA doubleheaders, but that was before the idea of the ‘bubble city’ gained traction. [AP 5.14]

The IMSA racing league announced Friday that it plans to resume its season July 4 with a night race at Daytona on NBCSN. … The IndyCar Series race at Toronto has been called off after the city extended its ban on mass events through July 31. The race had been scheduled for July 12. … The LPGA Tour has canceled the July 15-18 Great Lakes Bay Invitational, which was to be its first tournament back from hiatus.
