Monday Night Football scored its largest audience in three weeks as the Broncos upset the Bills.
The Broncos’ upset of the Bills averaged 17.68 million viewers across ABC (9.21M), ESPN (7.34M) and the ESPN2 Peyton and Eli “Manningcast” (1.12M), the largest audience for MNF since Week 7 and fourth-largest of the season.
For just the second time this season, MNF delivered the largest primetime audience of the week — topped the previous night’s Sunday Night Football game on NBC (Jets-Raiders: 15.64M) by more than two million viewers.
The top non-NFL sporting event on Monday night was the Michigan-St. John’s men’s college basketball game on FS1 (333K), which edged a competing Knicks-Celtics NBA game on NBA TV (323K). In the respective lead-outs, Xavier-Purdue averaged 290,000 on FS1 and Cavaliers-Kings 288K on NBA TV. (Keep in mind NBA games on NBA TV are blacked out in the home markets and the viewership presented here does not include local RSN coverage.)
