- NFL Network’s La Canfora Joins CBS Sports: NFL Network ‘insider’ Jason La Canfora has joined CBS Sports, where he will serve in the same capacity for CBSSports.com, the CBS Sports Network, and ‘The NFL Today’ pregame show. Canfora, a former Washington Post scribe who spent three years with NFL Network, will make his debut on CBSSports.com in July. According to USA Today, La Canfora will replace Charley Casserly. - ESPN Picks Up Cruz, Jr.: Former Major League Baseball player and MLB.com analyst Jose Cruz, Jr. has joined ESPN as an MLB analyst, the network announced earlier this week. Cruz, Jr. will serve as an analyst for ‘Baseball Tonight’ starting Wednesday, and will also contribute to ‘Beisbol Esta Noche’ on ESPN Deportes. (ESPN)
- Summitt to Be Honored At ESPYS: Former University of Tennessee head women’s basketball coach Pat Summitt will be honored with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at ‘The ESPYS’ this summer, ESPN announced Thursday. Diagnosed with early onset dementia, Summitt retired as head coach in April and now serves as head coach emeritus. (ESPN Media Zone)
