Ratings and viewership have nearly doubled for the Euro 2012 soccer tournament on ESPN and ESPN2.
Through Tuesday, coverage of the Euro 2012 tournament averaged a 0.7 U.S. rating and 1.002 million viewers on the ESPN family of networks, up 75% in ratings and 82% in viewership from 2008 (0.4, 552K).
The tournament has also averaged 228,000 viewers on ESPN Deportes.
The June 10 Spain/Italy match ranks as the highest rated and most-viewed of the tournament so far (1.4, 2.113M).
Rounding out the five highest rated matches are Germany/Portugal on June 9 (1.1, 1.798M), Ireland/Croatia on June 10 (0.9, 1.387M), Netherlands/Germany last Wednesday (0.9, 1.383M), and Netherlands/Denmark on June 9 (0.9, 1.367M).
