- Mike Milbury: The NBC NHL analyst is adding Hockey Night in Canada duties next season. Milbury, who worked for TSN last year, is moving to the CBC for at least the next two seasons, making appearances on the pregame show and during the second intermission. Milbury will remain on NBC, with his appearances there being the top priority. In the case of a schedule conflict with NBC, Milbury “will appear on Hockey Night by remote.”
- Kevin Calabro: The former Seattle SuperSonics play-by-play voice will not be moving with the team to Oklahoma City. Starting next year, Calabro will become the voice of the new Seattle MLS expansion team, calling matches on KING-TV and KONG-TV. Calabro is also open to continuing on NBA broadcasts, “likely on ESPN radio and NBA-TV.”
- Greta Van Susteren: The FOX News Channel host went on the offensive after CBSSports.com writer Gregg Doyel referred to her as a “sucker” and a “gullible friend” of retired NFL quarterback Brett Favre. Van Susteren, who granted a two-part interview to Favre last week, denied being close friends with Favre, saying on her blog that “prior to interviewing Brett Favre last week, I had met Favre only twice … both times I had seen him were business!” Despite her denials, it should be pointed out that Deanna Favre contacted Van Susteren, which set the interviews in motion, and Van Susteren herself is an admitted Packers fan and stakeholder — which certainly had some impact on her objectivity.
