  • Saturday NFL action fairly even from last year; FOX’s Eagles/Saints broadcast drew a 17.4 overnight rating, down 4.4% from 2006, while CBS’s Colts/Ravens broadcast drew a 17.6 rating, up 0.6% from last year.
  • ESPN has dumped its Cavaliers-76ers telecast on Friday, January 26, replacing it with a Nets-Magic game. It will be Orlando’s first appearance on ESPN this season.
  • According to the Sports Business Daily, “ESPN is disputing a report on Deadspin.com that says ESPN Classic is ‘ceasing to create and air original programming.'” The real story here is that Deadspin has become so influential that ESPN has to dispute reports it publishes.
