CBS got off to a slower start for NFL coverage this season.
The Week 1 NFL singleheader, including Patriots/Titans, earned a 9.0 final rating on CBS Sunday afternoon — down a tick from last year (9.1), and down 7% from 2010 (9.7).
The 9.0 is the lowest of the Week 1 singleheader on CBS since 2009 (7.1).
Sunday’s telecast, which only included 1 PM ET games due to the U.S. Open, outdrew concurrent regional action on FOX (8.0) by 13%.
