Preliminary data shows another knockout performance by NBC at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
NBC drew a 19.0/30 rating with 32 million viewers for coverage of the Olympics in prime time (from 8-11 PM) last night. NBC’s coverage lasted well after 11 PM, and unconfirmed estimates have the last hour of coverage, featuring the finals of women’s gymnastics, drawing over 40 million viewers.
NBC was already drawing close to 40 million viewers by the 10 PM hour. The network averaged a 22.7 rating with 39 million viewers from 10-11 PM, with a 14.5 rating in the key adults 18-49 demo.
