Two of the most prominent franchises in all of football helped FOX draw the best overnight rating of the season.
The Steelers’ comeback victory over the Cowboys drew a 17.0/31 overnight rating on FOX Sunday night, down 8% from an 18.4/33 for Patriots/Steelers on CBS last year, but the highest overnight rating of the season for an NFL telecast.
The 17.0 rating surpasses the previous high of 16.8 for Cowboys/Giants earlier this season.
The last three weeks have brought three of the five biggest overnight ratings for NFL games this season. Additionally, Dallas Cowboys games account for three of the top five, including the top two.
