- ESPN will air the 30,000 edition of SportsCenter on February 11; expect the same kind of nauseating over promotion that the 25,000 edition got five years ago.
- ESPN2 will televise the curiously named “ESPN After Dark” this Saturday, detailing the “the after-dark fun of Super Bowl week” including “Clinton Portis [letting] cameras follow him for a night of go-karting with his NFL friends”, “[F]ive members of the Chicago Bears … having dinner at the exclusive steakhouse … and discussing the excitement of Super Bowl week” and “Venus Williams [designing] a room with an after-dark theme.” Exciting.
- In a move that surprised nobody, ABC ditched its March 11 regional NBA telecast featuring the Chicago Bulls versus the Boston Celtics. That the Celtics were on national television in the first place is the real surprise; the team is so inept that they make even the Boston PD look like they know what they’re doing.
