Czarniak to Anchor Indy 500
- Rising ESPN star Lindsay Czarniak will anchor ABC’s coverage of the 2013 Indianapolis 500, USA Today reported Tuesday. Czarniak, who prior to joining ESPN anchored NASCAR coverage on TNT, replaces Brent Musburger as host of the event. ESPN is expected to officially announce the move on Wednesday. (USA Today)
Lipsyte New ESPN Ombudsman
- Longtime sports columnist Robert Lipsyte has been named the new ESPN ombudsman, ESPN announced Tuesday. Lipsyte, who has previously contributed to ESPN programming and ESPN.com, will start in June. (ESPN Front Row)
Wingo to Anchor Friday’s Draft Coverage
- ESPN NFL studio host Trey Wingo will anchor Friday’s second and third round coverage of the 2013 NFL Draft, replacing Chris Berman. Wingo will also anchor rounds 4-7 on Saturday, as was the case last year. Berman will continue to anchor first round coverage on Thursday night. (SI.com)
