Former TNT NBA analyst Doug Collins will return to television next week — on ESPN.
Collins will guest-host the ESPN2 morning show “Mike and Mike in the Morning” on June 12, ESPN announced Monday. He will work alongside regular hosts Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic to discuss the NBA Finals.
The “Mike and Mike” appearance marks Collins’ first national gig since serving as the lead analyst for NBC’s coverage of men’s basketball during the London Olympics.
For years one of the NBA’s highest-profile broadcasters, Collins recently left his position as head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers. Prior to joining the Sixers, Collins was the lead game analyst for the NBA on TNT from 2004-2010. Earlier in his career, Collins served as the lead analyst for the NBA on NBC from 1998-2001 and the NBA on TNT and TBS from 1989-1995.
In addition to Collins, current Timberwolves PF Kevin Love will guest-host “Mike and Mike” show this Thursday.
