A pair of high-profile retired athletes are heading to Turner Sports.
Former Major League Baseball P Pedro Martinez has officially joined TBS as a studio analyst for the network’s coverage of the MLB Postseason, Turner Sports announced Monday. Martinez will work alongside studio host Keith Olbermann and reporter Tom Verducci.
The Boston Globe first reported that Martinez would join Turner. The Globe report also indicated that Turner was in talks with former ESPN analyst Bobby Valentine, but that evidently did not pan out.
Turner Sports has also added former NBA player Grant Hill as an NBA analyst on both NBA TV and TNT. Hill, who last served as an NBA analyst in 2007 on ABC, will also host a rebooted version of “NBA Inside Stuff” on NBA TV.
According to a recent Twitter post by Turner’s Ernie Johnson, Hill will also join the cast of NBA TV’s “Open Court” this season.
