- Last week’s NHL coverage drew a 0.8 final rating for NBC. Even with superstars Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin, look for tomorrow’s regional coverage to set a new record low against FOX coverage of the Daytona 500.
- Last year’s NBA All Star Game drew just over 7 million viewers, making it one of the most viewed NBA games on television in 2006. While that was still a record low, much of that was because the game was airing against the Winter Olympics on NBC; look for the rating to improve tomorrow.
- The Daytona 500 has been improving every season. With the latest start ever for the event (3:30 PM), this should be the year where the event finally cracks a 12 rating.
