Over the past ten years, the National Championship game has averaged a 2.7 U.S. rating on ESPN. Only one game has failed to draw at least a 2.0 rating — the 2007 game between Tennessee and Rutgers.
The last time Connecticut played in the national title game, it drew a record 3.5 U.S. rating (2004). Connecticut’s four trips to the title game since ’99 have averaged a 3.1 U.S. rating, 15% higher than the 2.7 average.
This is Louisville’s first trip to the National Championship Game.
