- David Stern, Roger Goodell, Bud Selig and Gary Bettman: The commissioners of the four major U.S. professional team sports will appear jointly at the Wall Street Journal‘s Future of Sports Panel on Wednesday morning. The panel discussion will be webcast live on FOXSports.com and WSJ.com.
- Pierre McGuire: The NBC NHL reporter is in the running to be the next general manager of the Minnesota Wild. McGuire, who has worked for NBC since the net began airing NHL telecasts in ’06, is among a “handful” of candidates remaining for the job.
- Buck Martinez and Dennis Eckersley: The TBS MLB analysts have each recently filled in on NESN Red Sox telecasts in place of Jerry Remy, who is out with pneumonia. Martinez called games Thurdsay through Saturday, while Eckersley — who also works as a studio analyst for NESN — is working the two-game Red Sox/Yankees series.
