One year after Tiger Woods lifted ratings to a multi-year high, overnights plunged for The Barclays.
Final round coverage of The Barclays, the first leg of the PGA Tour FedEx Cup, earned a 2.3 overnight rating on CBS Sunday — down 38% from last year (3.7), down 15% from 2012 (2.7), and the lowest overnight for final round coverage since 2008 (1.8).
Woods finished in a tie for second last year, but missed this year’s tournament due to injury.
Saturday’s third round action drew a 1.7 overnight, down 23% from both last year and 2012 (2.2 both years) and the lowest since 2008 (1.1).
