The NFL on FOX had a weaker outing in Week 2 of the NFL season.
The Week 2 NFL singleheader window, featuring Seahawks/Chargers in 25% of markets, drew an 11.3 final rating and 19.4 million viewers on FOX Sunday afternoon — down 12% in ratings and 11% in viewership from coverage featuring Washington/Packers last year (12.8, 21.9M) and down 6% and 2%, respectively, from coverage featuring Cowboys/Seahawks in 2012 (12.0, 19.9M).
The telecast ranks as the lowest rated and least-viewed Week 2 singleheader on FOX since 2010 (10.6, 17.8M).
So far this season, all three NFL telecasts on FOX have had declines in ratings and viewership over last year. Every other NFL broadcast partner has had at least one increase.
